The super-popular Sea Eagle 370 Inflatable Sport Kayak is the perfect combination of price and quality for budget-minded kayakers. Sea Eagle has sold over 300,000 Sport Kayaks since it was first introduced in 1973 with over 60,000 being sold in just the last five years!
What’s not to like about the Sea Eagle 370?!
- The 32-pound SE370 takes only 8 minutes to inflate and holds one or two adults with room for gear, a dog, or even a child.
- It’s incredibly durable! It has an extra-thick, specially formulated hull material that will stand up to abuse for years and years. They back that promise with a warranty!
- They deflate and fold up to a fraction of their size (31″ x 19″ x 8″) making them easy to transport in the trunk of a car and store in a closet or corner of the garage. You can even check at the airport as luggage.
- Being over a foot longer than the 300 Sport Kayak, the SE370 provides more space and a greater weight capacity for adults, kids, dogs, or gear.
- The weight capacity is a whopping 650 pounds!!! There are some big and tall folk in my family. The SE370 can easily handle one of my 300-pound cousins, me at 180 pounds, and our gear! If you’re tall, you can really stretch out when setting the 370 up as a solo kayak. (Yes, at 6’1″ and 180lbs. I’m the runt of the family. 😉 )
The specifications, features, and price of the Sea Eagle 370 Inflatable Sport Kayak make it a true winner! Of the two Sea Eagle Sport Kayak models, the SE370 is the most versatile making it the best inflatable kayak for the money.
Not looking for a tandem kayak? There is a solo Sea Eagle 330 Inflatable Sport Kayak that is a smaller version of the SE370.

Key Features of the Sea Eagle 370 Inflatable Sport Kayak
The following key features of the inflatable Sea Eagle 370 Sport Kayaks set them apart from the competition and deserve closer attention.
5-Tube, I-beam Floor
The 5-tube, I-beam floor of the Sea Eagle Sport Kayak provides a rigid inflatable floor that bears most of the weight rather than the side tubes. The I-beam floor along with the kayak’s natural chines improves the kayak’s speed and tracking for added comfort when paddling longer distances.
Two Rear Skegs For Tracking And Speed
The Sea Eagle Sport Kayak has two, rear skegs like a surfboard for superior tracking and speed with less paddling effort. Inflatable kayaks without skegs waste paddling efforts by weaving and wandering along the surface of the water.
The skegs are made of extremely durable, molded plastic that won’t be harmed when hitting rocks or running the Sport Kayak up on the shore.
Deluxe One-way Valves On All Air Compartments
Sea Eagle Sport Kayaks have simple, easy-to-use, deluxe, one-way, screw-type air valves for the inflation and deflation of the hull and seats with the final seal being achieved by an outside cap for true air tightness.
These deluxe air valves are designed with:
- An inner diaphragm to prevent air from escaping after it’s pumped in
- A larger opening for rapid inflation and deflation
- A molded O-rings to keep them attached to the kayak at all times
- An outside cap for true airtightness

Has anyone tried the QuikSail package on the Sea Eagle 370? Wondering how it fares on a windy day out on the lake. Seems like a cool addition, but hesitant without some feedback. Cheers!
I gave it a shot last month. Surprisingly steady in moderate winds. You should have no trouble if it’s not too gusty. Makes for a really enjoyable sail.
Totally recommend the QuikSail. Transforms your kayak into a mini-sailboat adventure. It’s a blast!
Just checked out the specs for the Sea Eagle 370 and I gotta say, I’m impressed. The two rear skegs for tracking and speed sound like a game changer for inflatable kayaks. Has anyone taken this out on the water yet? Curious to hear real user experiences.
PaddlePioneer, took mine out last weekend on some mild rapids and it handled like a dream. The skegs really make a difference in steering. You won’t be disappointed!
Those two rear skegs for tracking and speed on the Sea Eagle 370 are game changers. Made my trips downriver so much smoother. Props to the design team.
Can anyone tell me if the Sea Eagle 370 is stable enough for fishing? Planning my first kayak purchase and I don’t wanna end up swimming with the fishes rather than catching them. Thanks!
Deluxe one-way valves on all air compartments? Okay, sounds fancy but let’s be real, how many of us can tell the difference? lol
I’m all about finding a good deal and the discount packages for the Sea Eagle 370 caught my eye. Does anyone have the Sport Fishing Kayak package? Is it worth the extra bucks or should i stick with the basic setup?
I’m not convinced about inflatable kayaks. Read the part about the 5-tube, I-beam floor, but will it really hold up in rough waters? Seems a bit risky to me.
Saw the QuikSail Kayak Package and it’s piqued my curiosity. Anyone here tried kayak sailing with the Sea Eagle 370? Wonder how it fares against a bit of wind. Looking to combine my two favorite hobbies here.
Everyone seems all hyped about this kayak but I’m not sold yet. How’s it actually hold up after a few uses? I’ve seen too many inflatables go bust after just a season or two.
Really appreciate the detailed overview, Steve Hood. Makes it easier to understand why the Sea Eagle 370 might be the perfect kayak for my next adventure. Cheers!
To those questioning the durability of inflatable kayaks, I’ve taken my Sea Eagle through some pretty tough spots, and it’s held up better than some hard shells I’ve used. Don’t knock it till you try it!
Hard to believe an inflatable could outlast a hard shell. Got any proof?
Sure thing, next time I’m out I’ll make a video comparing the two on the same route. Seeing is believing, after all.
Loving the sound of the deluxe one-way valves on the Sea Eagle 370. Nothing irks me more than a kayak that’s tough to inflate or deflate. Steve, your review makes this seem like the perfect upgrade for my next adventure!
Regarding the 5-tube, I-beam floor feature, some say it’s overkill, but I think it’s a stroke of genius for stability and durability. Anyone else have thoughts on this? Seems like Sea Eagle’s pushing the envelope on inflatable design.
Sounds like these Sea Eagle kayaks are packed with features. anyone knows how they stack up against traditional kayaks in terms of speed and maneuverability?
Does anyone know what certifications the Sea Eagle 370 has? Want to make sure I’m getting a kayak that’s not just fun but also meets all safety standards.
CertifiablyCautious, it’s NMMA certified. Rest easy knowing it meets the industry safety and construction standards.
Regarding the Sea Eagle 370’s ‘5-tube, I-beam floor’ mentioned by Steve Hood, it’s a solid design choice for inflatable kayaks. Provides notable stability and durability. However, always consider the type of water you’ll be navigating.
Imagine taking the Sea Eagle 370 down some crazy rapids only to find out you forgot to check the valves. Would be one unforgettable ride, or lack thereof haha. Seriously though, those deluxe valves sound pretty sweet.
Yo, anyone know if the Sea Eagle 370 can handle whitewater? Want to make sure it’s up for some serious rapids before I consider buying.
