The Redesigned Sea Eagle 9
Initially designed in 1982, the Sea Eagle Motormount boats have received some design upgrades over the years. The main upgrades include:
- High-pressure seats that inflate to 2 psi.
- Rigid, high-pressure, removable, I-beam reinforced, 38 mil PolyKrylar, inflatable floor encased in superior, high-strength, protective, nylon fabric to prevent hooks or other sharp objects from penetrating.
- Two easy-to-open and shut floor drains for improved versatility. The water drains out nearly as fast as it enters the boat.

Ease of Use
The Sea Eagle SE9 is designed for convenience.
- It takes only 15 minutes to inflate the boat with the included foot pump and less with an optional electric pump.
- The hull weighs 35 pounds and with the floor and motor mount the combined weight is 50 pounds making the SE9 quite easy to carry.

High Capacity
The large air chambers of the Sea Eagle 9 and its high hull design provide these boats great buoyancy allowing them to carry an impressive 1200-pound weight load. This in combination with its 7′ 6″ x 2′ 4″ interior makes the SE9 great for extended river trips with lots of gear, fishing trips, camping, and yacht tending.
Durable Hull Materials
Sea Eagle Motomount Boats have hulls made of a nearly indestructible 38 mil Polykrylar (K80 PVC). Though this durable material easily withstands impacts with sharp objects and bounces off rocks and debris on river runs, the best way to puncture the boat is to drag it along a river bottom or on land while it’s loaded with gear. It’s best to carry the SE9 instead of dragging it.

Primary and Secondary Safety Air Chambers
The Sea Eagle 9 with separate air chambers is designed to stay afloat. It has a main air chamber and a secondary independent safety chamber on top of it. This unique chamber-on-chamber design provides:
Safety: Because the safety air chamber sits on top of the main chamber, it is nearly impossible to puncture both chambers at the same time. The SE9 is virtually unsinkable with its 4 air chamber design (main, upper safety chamber, motor mount support, & removable floor).
Dryer Cockpit: The additional tube height created by the chamber-on-chamber design makes for a dryer cockpit. Less water is likely to splash or spray into the boat. A great feature for keeping you and your passengers dry when on a whitewater adventure or out on ocean waves.
Increased Interior Space: The stacked tube height increases the interior cubic dimensions of the SE9 to provide more space.

Removable Reinforced Inflatable Floor and Seats
Floor
The SE9 comes with a removable, 4″ thick, inflatable internal floor made from a double-layer of reinforced 38 mil PolyKrylar.
The floor’s design consists of a 9-air chamber, 8 I-beam construction covered in an indestructible, external, nylon fabric for added protection.
The fabrication allows the floor to be inflated to an incredibly rigid 2 psi. This provides stability for standing and improves performance and handling. Portability and stow-ability are also improved because there isn’t a need for a wood or aluminum floor.
Another great floor feature is the straps for securing your battery.
Seats
The two inflatable seats are also sheathed in indestructible, external, nylon fabric.
- Sit high on the 13″ tall seat. This elevated position is great for fishing and the height improves your field of vision.
- The second seat is 4″ high. This low seat provides a comfortable position when rowing.
Two Easy-To-Open and Shut Floor Drains
The Sea Eagle 9 has two easy-to-open and shut drain valves for improved versatility. With them open, water will drain out nearly as quickly as it enters. Perfect for rafting on rivers and ocean waves where water might enter the SE9.
Want to remain high and dry in flat water conditions? Just keep the valves shut. A great choice when the water is cold too.
Removable Motor Mount
The removable motor mount can take up to a 3 hp gas motor (minimum 20″ shaft, 45 lbs. maximum weight) or up to 74 lb. thrust electric motor (minimum 30″ shaft, 45 lbs. maximum weight).
Don’t have a motor or prefer oars? The Sea Eagle 9 can easily be rowed with the included set of oars, oar clasps, and oarlocks.
Canopy Attachment System
The Sea Eagle 9 is equipped with a canopy attachment system for attaching the optional Sun & Rain Canopy. Protecting yourself and your passengers from the sun and rain has never been easier.
Universal Scotty Attachment Locations
Though the SE9 doesn’t come with built-in rod holders. There is an optional Fish-n-Troll Bench Seat Kit that can be installed in the rear of the boat. The bench has four pre-drilled holes on each end that accept optional Scotty Universal Deck Mounts for mounting Scotty accessories.
Included are two Universal Scotty Rod Holders and one Scotty Baitcaster.
